How to Install irssi software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

irssi software package provides terminal based IRC client, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install irssi

irssi is installed in your system.

Make ensure the irssi package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep irssi *

You will get with irssi package name, version, architecture and description in a table
